FAQ's

Q. What are your opening times?

A. We are open between 9am-5pm Monday to Friday, however, should you need to contact us outside of these hours please feel free to do so using the Contact Us tab. 

Q.  How long does it take to deliver items?

A. This varies depending on the item purchased, with regards to ready to ship items these are usually dispatched within 5 days.  Custom and bespoke items are longer, listings for custom order have details of the expected delivery times.  Please note that at busy time such as Christmas listings may be amended and you will be advised of a guide time when ordering.

Q. Do you make bespoke/custom items

A. Yes, where custom items are available this will be an option on each listing.  Please note delivery times may alter with a bespoke or custom make.  With any custom/bespoke make, please note that refunds and exchanges will only be given for faulty items. 

Q. What is the expected delivery time for goods?

A. We use Royal Mail for most of our deliveries, where possible items will be via first class postal services.  On occasions it may also be necessary to use a courier if your item is larger.  On these occasions we will use Hermes as our carrier, please note you will be provided with a tracking number for your delivery.  

Q. How can I track my item?

A. When ordering you will be able to download the Shop app which will provide you with details of when your item has been dispatched. 

Q. Do you offer free delivery?

A. Yes, any purchases over £40 will be available for free delivery. 

Q. Do you offer refunds or exchanges?

A. Yes, please see the Refunds Policy at the bottom of the home page for more details.

COURSES

Q. What is the skill level required to join the course?

A. The skill level for each course will vary, please see the course listing for any entry requirements.  The Beginners Crochet Course is designed for absolute beginners, there is not prior experience required.

Q. What materials do I need to bring to the class?

A. Participants will be provided with a full crochet kit in a bag, the kit will include all of the tools and yarn that’s require for the course.

Q. Can I purchase materials at the class?

A. Additional tools and materials can be purchased in class should participants require anything additional from the crochet kit.  Additionally items can also be purchased from the website www.tillymintcreates.co.uk

Q. How long is each class session?

A. Morning sessions are held over a 3 hour period from 9.30am until 12.30pm, Afternoon sessions will run over a six week period from 1pm until til 3pm, Evening sessions will also run over a six week period from 7pm until 9pm.

Q. Will there be homework or assignments between classes?

A. This is not essential, however, past student have found it helpful to practice their stitches in-between classes.  As part of the course participants will be provided with a Learn to Crochet Book.  The book contains links to video tutorials of everything that is covered in class.

Q. Is there a class size limit?

A. As this course is aimed at beginner level there will be no more than 8 participants in each class.

Q. What techniques will be covered in the course?

A. Participants will be taught everything from how to hold a crochet hook, right up to working all of the basic stitches.  Participants will learn how to change colour, how to finish of their work, how to increase and decrease and also how to work in either a panel or in the round.

Q. Can I get a refund if I need to cancel my registration?

A. If you need to cancel your registration prior to the course taking place then a refund is available.  Once the course begins, refunds will not be available, however, if you can’t attend the course every effort will be made to move you to a different date or a one-to-one course. 

Q. Is there a minimum age requirement for participants?

A. This course is designed for participants over the age of 16.  Should you wish to arrange a course for children then please email to discuss further hello@tillymintcreates.co.uk

Q. Are left-handed participants accommodated in the class?

A. Yes.  As a new crocheter learning how to hold your yarn and hook may be tricky whether you are left or right handed.  Most left handed participants choose to follow the tutor using their right hand, however, all videos are available for both left and right handed participants.

Q. What safety measures are in place, relating to covid and other infectious conditions?

A. To limit any spread, It is important that any participant or the tutor does not attend class in cases of Covid or infectious illnesses.  In the event of a Tutor being unwell, all participants will be advised at the earliest opportunity, classes will be moved to an alternative week.  If a participant is unwell please contact your tutor at your earliest opportunity to advise that you will not be attending.  With regards to stomach bugs we respectfully request that participants refrain from class for a period of 48 hours after the last bout of sickness.

Q. Is there a break during the class, and are refreshments provided?

A. Yes, each class will have refreshments provided and an opportunity for toilet breaks.

Q. How can I contact the instructor outside of class hours if I have questions?

A. As part of your course you will be provided with access to the Private Facebook Group, you can contact the tutor directly through this group.   Alternatively you can email hello@tillymintcreates.co.uk

Q. What happens if I miss a class?

A. If a class is missed please not that participants will be able to access the course materials at home using the videos and book.  No refund is available for missed classes.

Q. Can I take photos or record the class for personal use?

A. Participants will be provided with video tutorials so there will be no requirement for recording of videos, this is strictly prohibited.  It is encouraged that you share images of your progress and your work in progress on the Private Facebook Group, this is inspirational for other students and promotes positive conversations whilst also raising help questions too.  We request that the privacy of other participants is respected.  Under GDPR participants will be asked to provide written confirmation that they are happy for their images to be taken and shared for publicity purposes.  Any participant not wishing to have their pictures taken, please advise the course tutor at the start of the course.
